Keen ornithologist and fond of my garden
I have over 35 years experience of working in a variety of roles within the art and creative industry sectors in England and Wales. Starting out as a community artist in North West England, I then moved into the independent film sector before joining local government in Wales as an arts officer. This led to my position as Head of Service until taking voluntary early retirement in 2016. I now freelance as a cultural consultant, whilst also rediscovering my own practice as a visual artist.
Accomplished in project management, evaluation and managing change, I am enthused by using my experience to raise the appreciation of the value of the arts through helping cultural organisations develop and improve.

Likes life, basically
As a partner in K2S Cultural Consultancy my experience in management covers a portfolio of over 35 years. Following an initial career in education I freelanced as a promoter and manager in the commercial music industry and media. This was the springboard for many years of close involvement in the performing arts. The breadth of experience gained during this time led to my role as Head of Service for Arts and Culture in Local Government where my mission was to provide a service that would educate, enrich and provide enjoyment with an appeal to all.
Passionate about engaging and supporting people development, I am ILM Level 7 qualified in coaching and mentoring, specialising in career development and resilience in the workplace. I am a fluent Welsh speaker.
